searching for...
AmazonLite
also contains a brilliant similarities system
e.g. Don't Make Me Think
now if only AmazonFlash could implement this a bit better - the gif map on AmazonLite is a bit too big and you could get the detail onMouseOver!
The problem is the often pretty awful presentation and unituitive control provided with FlashVersion (though once you get more used to how it works it starts to get a bit better - though there is a need for the title and possibly author as text in addition to cover image which isn't a very easy way to identify a particular title (fairly unlikely you will have seen the cover if you are searching for it) :)
The images get loaded one behind the other and you have to drag to rearange them
and in order to see the relationships you have to click each in turn (the links should all be turned on or offable)
and what - no image for POET (doet)?
and no simple CLEAR ALL button - the results build up - which is good - but means you need a clear all function - you can do this by selecting all [A] and then deselecting some by [SHIFT-CLICKING] - but you have to read help to know about this
and an old time favourite (once inferenceFind ifind.com went caput) is
Vivisimo where the results are seperated into categories similar in a way but without the key words or interconnectors provided by KartOO Meta Search which is pretty smart (but limited by screen space)
and I have started to rely on the
GoogleToolbar (only IE)
